Seattle

We have a friend going to Seattle on vacation in a couple of weeks and we told her we would get some ideas of things they could do there. If anyone has suggestions of fun things to do in Seattle let us know! Thanks!!!

Viva Las Vegas

Heidi and I met up in Las Vegas to see George Michael in concert. We laughed, Heidi cried, we danced, we had a great time. Here are a few pictures and videos of the concert. Enjoy
Heidi and I anticipating the big night with George!

Before the event Heidi tried to win a little extra cash for Keaton's college savings.  We learned that although Wheel of Fortune makes you feel cool because it shouts really loud when you win, it doesn't bring big wins.  Haywire was the game of the day.

Keaton's Visit...

So I know I just posted, but I thought it would be fun to post some of Keaton's stay so if Heidi ever gets on she can see what her daughter is up too.
It has only been three days, but we have already had so much fun. The first day we tried to get all organized and situated. Keaton is eating a ton of food, and she is sleeping noon and night. We do have some times when she gets up but so far so good.

Day two we had a picnic and went to the park. We had so much fun. Keaton loved every minute of it. She is such a big girl, she tired claming the ladder all on her own. No worries though, someone was always near by. Nothing bad happened.

She loved the swings.

Mom and Dad even had a good time.

Today, we took Luke on a walk and we stopped at another park. To bad I didn't have my camera because we did have a lot of fun. Then, when Keaton was down taking her nap, I cut my hair. I have been asked to blog it, so here it is. What do you think?
Sorry I look pretty bad, facewise...

Adventures in Babysitting...

As most of you know, this weekend I left my cute little Luke, to go and babysit for Julie and Rod down in Utah. It was sad to leave Lukie behind, but I had my hands full. Fortunately we did end up having a ton of fun.
We were lucky enough to have Aunt Sherri bring over her AWESOME pool. It was pretty much the highlight of the weekend for the little ones. They played all day and night!

They played so hard, they got very tired and had to take a little cat nap. The funny thing is, they are just pretending to be asleep. It was pretty stinkin´cute!

We didn´t actually see to much of the boys, but when we did it was pretty fun!

It all ended with celebrating Wesley´s 15th Birthday! Happy Birthday Wes!

It was pretty difficult getting a good picture from this kid!

During the trip I even had time to head out with Sherri and the girls and purchase my first real couch! I can´t believe it I am a growing up. I can´t wait to get the money from my signing bonus, to help pay for it! It will be a GREAT day. Feel free to send all your extra cash my way!

Goooooooooooaal!

So a couple weeks ago, I was able to go to Qwest Field and see Brazil beat Canada in a Soccer. It was awesome. I was in Brazil win they won the World Cup 6 years ago, and I've always wanted to go to a major soccer game ever since. I was super excited to go watch the game and of course, be around Brazilians and speak a little Portuguese.  Here are some pictures from the night.
The pictures a little blurry but I think you get the idea.  Just because you're 9 months pregnant, that doesn't mean you should stop enjoying yourself, right?!  This woman danced the night away while letting it all hang out.  I'm sure her child will come out dancing!
My friends, Bob Brown (served in Brazil), Janeatte, Mackenzie, Austin (served in Brazil), and Me.
Mackenzie, Austin and I at the game.  Austin and I came dressed ready to support our team.  The shirts that Bob and Janeatte are wearing above are mine as well!  You can never have to much Brazilian paraphernalia!
This group of Brazilian fans played music and danced during the ENTIRE game.  The music never stopped.  I don't know how they didn't get tired.  Especially the guy on the drums, but the beat was constant throughout the whole game.  If there is one thing Brazilians know how to do it is have a good time!
A little close up action of the game.  Brazil won 3-2!  Patria Amada Brasil!

Music To Fill The Soul?!?!

So... I going through the piano looking for a song and I came across this lovely lullaby I just had to share with the family. I know, I know, I am a nerd, but I figured why not. And I love blogging now and I really don't have anything else to blog so here it goes, make sure you read the words...ALL OF THEM!

All the Pretty Little Horses

By Nicholas Palmer

Hush-a-bye, don't you cry, go to sleep-y little baby.

When you wake, you shall have all the pretty little horses.

Blacks and bays, dapples and grays, coach and six little horses.

Hush-a-bye, don't you cry, go to sleep-y little baby.

Way down yonder in the meadow, lies a poor little lamb-ie.

Birds and flies pink-in' out its eyes, Poor little thing's a cry-in' "Mammy!"

Hush-a-bye, don't you cry, go to sleepy little baby.

When you wake, you shall have all the pretty little horses.

Now, there's one to sing to the little ones.

Below, the song, this was written...
Many, many cradle songs have surprising verses that seem frightening, but perhaps these scary things are a way of making the child seem that much safer in her mother's arms. Some singers leave out these words. There is more than one way to sing this song, The lullaby is made up of four bar stanzas and two different melodies that can be mixed up and interchanged as you like. This song usually ends with either "Go to sleepy, little baby" or "All the pretty little horses." Sing as you need to get your little one off to sleep.

So now I ask... Which way would you choose?

We know what dad would choose...

He loved the above version!! Go Figure!
