School!

Well we made it through the first two days of school. Colton loves school and his teacher. Kylie loves school, she came home from school and i asked her what she did she told me that she "played outside and ate lunch" i asked her what they talked about in class and she said " i dont know". Well at least she is getting something out of school, play time and lunch! LOL! But they are doing great and loving school.
Today we took maddie to the doctor cause she had a fever and was pulling at her ears, well she had and ear infection so she is on antibiotics. We finally got a weight check, she officially weighs 16 pounds. I dont know where that is on the chart she does for her 1 year check up on sept. 3rd so i will let you know!
Love and miss you all!!!

San Diego!

I decided that I needed one last trip before my summer vacation came to an end so I decided to go down and visit my friend Adrianne and her family in San Diego. The number one thing on my agenda was THE BEACH! I love the beach, I could sit on the beach, or swim in the Ocean, or attempt to boogie board all day everyday and never get bored. I had a great time.   Here are a few of the Highlights.

Hannah and I doing a little "spelunking" on the beach.

In LaJolla
Grant was always an eager eater.  No time for aim, just give him food and he's a happy camper.  The orange face really brings out the blue in his eyes.
My First ever "FISH" Taco at Adrianne and Stuarts favorite Mexican Restaurant in LaJolla
Hannah has an amazing ability to get sand to stick to her.  Within 5 minutes of being at the beach she was always covered from head to toe with sand.  I don't think Adrianne is very appreciative of Hannah's superpower but it really is incredible  I've never seen so much sand stick to one person!

A big thanks to Adrianne and her kids for entertaining me, and a shout out to Stuart who allowed me to keep his family company while he was out of town for a few days.  And now for me, it is back to Rainy Seattle and the beginning of a new school year.  :)

An Update from our world!

Well we will start with colton. We had about a month of no one knowing what was wrong with him. It all started with a dive into the shallow end. Colton hit his head on the bottom but never really complained of anything. About 4 days later he started having an almost constant fever of 102.0 . He would then get a fever of 103.0 degrees every night at about 2 am. He would complain of pain and his eyes were so swollen that he couldnt see. He had a CT done and a Spinal tap to try and figure out what was going on. Well they could never explain the fever but they said his severe headaches were because he was suffering from Post Concussive Syndrome. So we are now going on two weeks of no symptoms but that month was a very hard month to get through. Colton will start the 1st grade on monday, i cant believe it. He is so excited though. We will be signing him up for boy scouts also, and he cant wait to start that.

Madelynn will be one August 30th. I cant believe how fast time has gone by. Madelynn is officially standing now, no walking but she will stand all day long! Madelynn hasnt really grown to much in the past couple months but she goes for her one year check up so hopefully we will have some good news. She is still wearing size 3-6 month clothes but with winter coming up we should be able to move up to 6-9 months! She is just a tiny little thing.

Kylie is still a little diva. She thinks she is a teenager and has to have a "Cell phone" to her ear all day. She is growing up so fast though, she will start school on monday too and is soooo excited. I cant believe she is already old enough to go to school. I know that it will be good for her though. We cut kylie's hair, this picture was taken the day before, but she now has a swing bob ( if thats how you spell it!LOL!). She looks sooo cute with her hair like that.
Well I have been going to the gym and working my butt off, but i feel soooo great. Im glad that we have been able to do that. Marc is doing great, he plays on a soccer team and he loves it. He is loving his job to, he works at a recycling place down town, they recycle oil. He has a job that has been offered to him though and it would be making more money so we are praying that everything works out with that job, and if he is happy where he is.
Thats about it for us, I will keep everyone updated on school and all the activities that are up coming. We love everyone and miss everyone very much!

I LOVE being a grandma!

We had a great time a couple of weeks ago when Colton, Kylie and Madelynn we able to come and spend a few days with us - they are all growing up so fast - I wanted to share a few new pictures with all of you. It's hard to believe little Maddie will be one in a week! We rented a cabin at the lake to celebrate her birthday - so there will be many more pictures to come! ;-)

I love you all and hope all is well!

Kristi

Colton & Kylie had a blast driving all over town in the jeep! It was tough for me and Maddie to keep up.

We had a ton of fun at the park!

Madelynn just loves her papaw - she reached for him everytime he walked by - and always wanted to sit with him - He LOVED it!

Skye just loves life "on the farm" and has taken T-bone over as her own personal pet!

Blayne is doing great and growing like a weed - I swear he will be sitting up before we know it!

Kylie is still 100% princess and loves everything about being 16 - oh wait she's only 4 I keep forgetting!

Colton is becoming a little man - which is really difficult for me to deal with - he did say I can keep calling him my Poo Bear - just not in front of his friends!

There were a lot of times that we all got along great!!!

And then other times we didn't! ;-(
Well, I hope you enjoyed our pictures - I have to tell you I am the luckiest grandma in the world!!!!!

Europe!!!!

Day One:

We boarding the plane in Salt Lake City at 10:00 am had a lay over in Chicago and finally arrived in London Heathrow Airport at about 7:00 am (London time) the next day.

Day Two: LONDON BABY!

Immediately after Arriving in London our adventure began. We dropped our Luggage off at the hotel and started sightseeing. (They say it is good for Jet Lagg, but I wanted to kill everyone. I would have to say this was the worst day of the entire trip.)

This is Piccidilly Circus. We took the metro (Subway) from our hotel to here, we got to have free time where we had lunch and looked around. I was so tired I just wanted to sit and do nothing. But it was fun. All the London Businessmen were at lunch so it was fun just sitting and listening to all them talk British. :)

The picture below is of the George Albert Museum. It was pretty fun, but again I was very very tired and could have cared less. I actually ended up falling asleep on a bench right outside the museum.

Day Three:

We started the day with a sightseeing bus thour of all of London. We stopped at St. Pauls Catherdral. This is where Princess Diana and Price Charles got married. The doors are where they came out of. Then we went to Buckingham Palace and saw the changing of the Guards. The man in the Purple Jacket is our tour guide for the day and the other was DAVID. I love David. He was our Tour Director. He was the only man with us everyday every night. He put up with a lot. He was the best!

Day Four: Today we went to Stonehedge and then to Bath to see the Roman Baths. It was a really pretty little town. If I were to go back I would spend a lot more time in Bath. Bath is were Jane Austen was born and a couple of her stories take place there.

Day Five:

PARIS

We took the Eurostar under the English Channel to PARIS. This first night in Paris was so much fun. We got to walk up about 300 stairs to this old church and then you could see all of Paris. It really was pretty amazing.

Day Six:

We went to church in Paris, which was quite the experience. We also were able to go to see Notre Dame and a walking tour around Paris. I love Paris, it is so pretty there.

Day Seven:

We started out the day with a bus tour of Paris. We made stops at the Arch de Triumphe and the effile tour. Then we ended at the Louve. I was even able to show some tricks and meet new friends.

Day Eight:

We made our way to the Palace of Versilles. It really was beautiful. Most of all the garden was amazing.

That night we took the midnight train to Milan and from there on out we were in Italy. We went to Milan, Florence, Lake Como, Ravenna, Assisi, Venice, Pisa, The Vitican, and Rome. It was amazing!!!!

And that was the end of our trip. We headed home, had some plane delays and were all very tired.

But even though I am so glad to be back in America, I did have a lot of fun. Next time I will do some things differently but for the first time, and maybe only time I am happy with my European Holiday.
