Our Buddy Ike...

Well as some of you may know we have a visitor coming to the area - Ike - it is a Hurricane that is set to hit the Texas coast tomorrow. We are batting down the hatches and stocking up on water, food, candles, batteries and all that good stuff. He should be down to Tropical Storm strength when he gets to our area (40 - 75 mph winds) and is expected to spawn several tornados - and although I don't wish misfortune on anyone - I am hoping they stay to the east of us!
Just wanted to let everyone know we are fine and prepared for the next couple of days - we'll fill you in on all of our adventures (which will hopefully be few! ;-) ). And who knows maybe I'll get an exciting picture or two! hehe
Love you all!
Kristi

It all turned out OK - there are some people on the coast that didn't fair too well, but in our neck of the woods we were lucky - kept a pallet and supplies in the bathroom - but never had to take refuge there.
Cecil and Stefani have a lot of friends in the Houston area - Cecil's dad is there too - he lost many trees and had some structural damage to the house, but for the most part were very lucky - there are still some people they haven't heard from, but the phone systems have been down, and they will likely not have power for a couple of weeks.
Love you all!
