Biking in Whistler

Rob and I went to Whistler for our first Mountain Biking Trip of the year last weekend. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend. The weather was bright and sunny, but not too hot. In fact, it was so nice, they decided to keep the bike park open until 8 pm! We had a full day of biking and we were exhausted when we were done.

We saw several bears. We haven't been up there in the summer yet without seeing bears. It is so cool to see them coming right toward the trails where you are biking.

See the bear in the background? :)

This time we also saw some deer. Can you see him?

The Peak to Peak Gondola was open for summer and when we went on opening day it was totally fogged in. So midday we decided to go up the mountain and check it out on a sunny day. There was still a lot of snow left on the ground the further we went up.

And our favorite food when we go biking or skiing in Whistler, Poutine!

Never heard of Poutine, I love brown gravy though. Glad you had a great time.

Wish we could have gone with you. We are thinking of giving Wesley plane tickets to SEattle for his BDay. When would work for you? How about Labor day weekend or sometime in August? We could even do UEA, which is in October.
