Mt. Hood Oregon

It's spring break for me this week, so Rob took a day off work and we drove down to Oregon last weekend. We decided to go to Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort and for a little spring skiing. Since we both teach skiing, we get free ski exchange passes to different ski resorts in the area. It's a cheap way to get away and have a little fun. We stayed in Gresham, just outside of Oregon. We skied on Saturday and Monday and enjoyed a little scenic Sunday Drive on Sunday. We also visited "Powell's City of Books" in Portland. It is the worlds largest book store. It was huge! The weather was beautiful and sunny the entire time. On our way home we stopped off at the Bonneville Dam and saw some of the largest fish I've ever seen in my life. We had a great time.

Rob and I with the peak of Mt. Hood in the background.

Rob coming down the backside of the mountain. This was where we found the best skiing. I even went on my very first double black diamond! I'm still not very good but you better believe I'm going to be bragging about that for a while (even if I did find the easiest way down)!

On Sunday we did a little sight-seeing. This is me in front of Multnomah Falls. It is the 2nd highest waterfall in North America. It was gorgeous.

Rob and I at the Vista House over looking the Columbia River Basin. We found an amazing scenic highway that would be perfect for a nice motorcycle ride, so maybe we'll be returning one day with our bikes!

Rob and Cindi, I'm sad that I wasn't able to meet and see you in Utah. I guess I will just have to schedule a trip to Seattle. You guys look like a lot of fun!
