WICKED

So on Easter Sunday, Sherri, the girls and I went to see Wicked! I had seen it before in London, and of course I fell in love! So I had to go again.

We all had a really good time, except for the fact we seriously had the noseblood seats and the people in front of Sarah and I were somewhat of a pain. Next time I go to see a Broadway play.... I pay the BIG bucks!!!

For the first time I feel.....

WICKED!!!!!

Joyce and Michael came to Utah and Rexburg

We had a family get together and Michael finally got to meet everyone. We did a tour of Temple Square and the Conference Center, then went to Rexburg.

The cousins, Julie, Michael, Misty & Sherri

We of course took them to Craigo's Pizza but forgot the camera. The next day we went to tour Idaho Falls and see the falls.

No trip is complete without a visit to BIG JUD's

They didn't take the challenge to eat the whole big burger.

That evening we were so stuffed that we decided instead of dinner we would do a DESSERT TOUR OF REXBURG, first stop Frontier Pies

Then to Florence's Chocolate for a taste of the delicious chocolate candy. She was closing when we got there but because we had out of town guests she let us in.

Next a taste of chocolate & vanilla custard from BRC's Frozen Custard, this is owned by Florence's Chocolate. After purchasing our chocolates Florence took us over to try the custard, she instructed the server to give us the BIG SPOONS because we were from out of town.Next we were going to go to Cold Stone but were just too full to hold anything else. Come visit and we will get you the BIG SPOON too. Thanks for coming Joyce & Michael we had a great time.

We also went to PORTERs! Like everyone else they loved that store.

Mt. Hood Oregon

It's spring break for me this week, so Rob took a day off work and we drove down to Oregon last weekend. We decided to go to Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort and for a little spring skiing. Since we both teach skiing, we get free ski exchange passes to different ski resorts in the area. It's a cheap way to get away and have a little fun. We stayed in Gresham, just outside of Oregon. We skied on Saturday and Monday and enjoyed a little scenic Sunday Drive on Sunday. We also visited "Powell's City of Books" in Portland. It is the worlds largest book store. It was huge! The weather was beautiful and sunny the entire time. On our way home we stopped off at the Bonneville Dam and saw some of the largest fish I've ever seen in my life. We had a great time.

Rob and I with the peak of Mt. Hood in the background.

Rob coming down the backside of the mountain. This was where we found the best skiing. I even went on my very first double black diamond! I'm still not very good but you better believe I'm going to be bragging about that for a while (even if I did find the easiest way down)!

On Sunday we did a little sight-seeing. This is me in front of Multnomah Falls. It is the 2nd highest waterfall in North America. It was gorgeous.

Rob and I at the Vista House over looking the Columbia River Basin. We found an amazing scenic highway that would be perfect for a nice motorcycle ride, so maybe we'll be returning one day with our bikes!
